Himvana Nettle Tea
Himalayan Nettle Tea is a herbal tea made from stinging nettle (Urtica dioica), commonly found in the Himalayan regions of Uttarakhand. Locally it’s also called Bichu Ghas / Kandali. It is naturally rich in iron, calcium, antioxidants, and minerals, and is commonly consumed for wellness, detox, and immunity support.
How to Make a Herbal Tea
You can make a herbal tea by starting boiling 1–2 cups of water in a pan. Once the water is boiled, add 1–2 teaspoons of dried Bichhoo Booti leaves.
Let the mixture simmer for 3 to 5 minutes so that the nutrients from the mixture will start to get absorbed into the water.
After it has simmered, turn off the heat. Let the tea sit for another 5 - 10 minutes. This step is also important because it makes the tea taste better.
Lastly strain the liquid into a cup & drink it while it is warm. You can add a drops of lemon juice to the tea or a teaspoon of honey or a slice of fresh ginger to get more health benefits from the tea.
