Himalayan Nettle Tea is a herbal tea made from stinging nettle (Urtica dioica), commonly found in the Himalayan regions of Uttarakhand. Locally it’s also called Bichu Ghas / Kandali. It is naturally rich in iron, calcium, antioxidants, and minerals, and is commonly consumed for wellness, detox, and immunity support.



  • How to Make a Herbal Tea

    1. You can make a herbal tea by starting boiling 1–2 cups of water in a pan. Once the water is boiled, add 1–2 teaspoons of dried Bichhoo Booti leaves.

    2. Let the mixture simmer for 3 to 5 minutes so that the nutrients from the mixture will start to get absorbed into the water.

    3. After it has simmered, turn off the heat. Let the tea sit for another 5 - 10 minutes. This step is also important because it makes the tea taste better.

    4. Lastly strain the liquid into a cup & drink it while it is warm. You can add a drops of lemon juice to the tea or a teaspoon of honey or a slice of fresh ginger to get more health benefits from the tea.
